What we believe

A. God – The supreme being sovereign over all creation. There is only one God, who has revealed himself to man through the Holy Spirit and by his son Jesus Christ. The three are one. Father, Son and Spirit are commonly accepted throughout Christiandom as the Holy Trinity and the One God of Christianity and the Bible.

B. Jesus - Son of God, author of salvation. The second person of the Holy Trinity. He was with God from the beginning of time. He is the Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end.

Jesus came to our world born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit, not the seed of man. He is both God and man and lived a sinless life.

He came to show us who God is, how we should live and to restore us to a right relationship with God as sons and daughters.

He performed many miracles and showed his power over nature. People were healed from sickness and diseases. The greatest miracle was his own resurrection from the dead after being crucified on a cross for the sins of the world. After being dead for 3 days he rose again just as he predicted showing his power as God over death itself.

Jesus is the key to everlasting life with God. He gives us hope and shows the way. He is the truth and the life and gives salvation and eternal life to those who accept him into their own life as savior and Lord.

C. The Holy Spirit - He is the third person of the Holy Trinity and was also in the beginning. He bears witness to Jesus Christ as the Son of God and savior of the world, leading people to all truth about God and who he is.

D. Sin - The natural and willful disobedience to the commands and laws of a Holy and righteous God.

E. Salvation - Man was created by God to have a relationship with him. But through man's rebellious nature and fallen state, "sin," we have separated ourselves from God. Thanks be to God for providing a way out. Because he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who made the supreme sacrifice by dying on the cross for all the sins of mankind.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Because of the shedding of Christ's blood on the cross we can have the forgiveness of our sins when we come to accept this most Holy sacrifice. Being redeemed from our sinful nature we now celebrate our salvation through Christ's sacrifice and are restored to a proper relationship with God.

F. Man - A living being created in the image of God, having a mind, body, soul and spirit, and possessing a free will. Created by God and for God to have fellowship with him and to worship him, and to enjoy the life God has given.
